Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Adamant mobile application ("Adamant", "the app", "we", "us"). By downloading or using Adamant, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

Adamant is a habit and self-discipline application. Its core feature, Apollo's Verdict, uses artificial intelligence to evaluate photo proof you submit of completed habits, and returns a judgment along with in-app rewards (XP, streaks, ranks). Adamant also includes coaching features (the Oracle, Lessons, Tough Love), planning tools, and motivational content.

2. Apollo is an AI — not professional advice

Apollo is an automated AI persona. Its verdicts, lessons, and responses are generated by a language model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or wrong. Adamant is for motivation and self-improvement only. It is not medical, psychological, legal, financial, or professional advice. Do not rely on it for any decision that requires a qualified professional. If you are struggling with your mental health, please contact a licensed professional or a crisis line in your area.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Adamant. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have a parent or guardian's permission.

4. Subscriptions, billing & auto-renewal

Adamant is offered as an auto-renewing subscription with an optional free trial. The following terms apply to all purchases:

• Plans: Monthly and yearly subscriptions unlock full access to Adamant. Current prices are shown in the app before you purchase.
• Free trial: New subscribers may receive a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and you are charged automatically for the plan you selected.
• Payment: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Managing & cancelling: You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions after purchase. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
• Refunds: Purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies. We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly.

Your use of subscriptions purchased through the App Store is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).

5. Your content & proof submissions

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, voice recordings, and text you create in Adamant ("Your Content"). By submitting a proof photo, you grant us a limited licence to transmit and process that image solely to generate Apollo's Verdict (via our processing provider, Anthropic). We do not store proof photos after the verdict is returned, and we do not use Your Content to advertise to you. See our Privacy Policy for details.

You are responsible for Your Content. Do not submit anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except as permitted by law.
• Use the app to break any law or to harass, harm, or impersonate others.
• Interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or the AI service.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app or its content without our written permission.

7. Intellectual property

Adamant, including its name, the Apollo persona, design, text, graphics, and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

Adamant is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Apollo's verdicts will be accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, motivation, or progress, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Adamant. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using Adamant at any time by deleting the app and cancelling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you within the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

13. Assumption of risk & health

Adamant encourages physical, mental, and lifestyle habits — workouts, fasting, cold exposure, early rising, and more. You take part in any such activity entirely at your own risk. Apollo's suggestions are AI-generated and are not tailored to your individual health. Consult a qualified physician before beginning any new exercise, diet, or wellness regimen, particularly if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are taking medication. You are solely responsible for deciding whether any activity is safe and appropriate for you, and you assume all risk of injury, loss, or harm arising from habits you choose to perform.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Adamant and its operator from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the app; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
