Privacy Policy

Short version: Adamant is a local-first app. Your habits, streaks, XP, and voice recordings never leave your device. The only data that touches our servers is your proof photo when Apollo judges it — and we don't store it after processing.

What data Adamant collects
1. Proof photos (habit verification)
When you submit a photo as proof of a habit, that photo is sent to our server (hosted on Vercel) which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude AI for Apollo's Verdict. This is the core feature of the app.
- Photos are transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
- We do not store your photos on our servers after the verdict is returned. The image is processed and discarded.
- The verdict text (e.g. "Genuine", "Not Yet Proof") and your habit metadata are stored locally on your device only.
- Anthropic may retain submitted content per their own Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review it.
2. Proof videos
If you submit a video as proof, it is stored locally on your device only. Videos are never sent to our servers or to any AI service.
3. Voice recordings (Voice Vault)
Voice memos recorded in the Voice Vault are stored locally on your device only. They are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared.
4. Habit data, streaks, XP, and app content
All of your habits, streaks, XP, rank, momentum, journal entries, and app progress are stored locally on your device using standard iOS device storage. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly use a device backup service (such as iCloud Backup, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy).
5. Subscription and purchase data
Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat, our subscription management platform. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase and usage data to manage entitlements. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details. We never see your payment card information — that is handled entirely by Apple.
What we do not collect
- We do not require an account, email address, or password.
- We do not use advertising SDKs or sell your data to advertisers.
- We do not use third-party analytics services (no Firebase Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude).
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not collect your location.
App Store Privacy Label: Adamant is eligible to claim "Data Not Used to Track You" on the App Store, because we do not link your data to a third-party identity for advertising purposes.
Why we use your data
We use the limited data described above only to:
- Run the core feature — transmit your proof photo so Apollo can return a verdict.
- Operate your subscription — verify your entitlement through Apple and RevenueCat.
- Keep the app working — basic, non-identifying technical operation.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale. If you are in the EU or UK, our legal basis is performance of our agreement with you (providing the app you requested) and your consent where required. If you are in California, we do not "sell" or "share" your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
How we protect your data
All data transmitted to our servers (proof photos only) is sent over HTTPS/TLS encryption. Our server does not log or persist your photos. We do not maintain a database of user-identifiable content.
Children's privacy
Adamant is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at getadamantapp@gmail.com.
Your rights
Because nearly all data is stored locally on your device, you control it directly. You can:
- Delete all data: Delete the Adamant app from your iPhone. All locally stored data is removed.
- Request information: Email us at getadamantapp@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
- Cancel your subscription: Manage or cancel via iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you within the app. Continued use of Adamant after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
